“The London Language Studio offer intensive workshop style sessions which provide several hours of continuous tutoring. I find coming to one of these sessions as often as possible a super effective way of learning. Even though I drive almost 2 hours each way to attend the session the benefits are enormous. I really want to learn Greek and you have to try to immerse yourself in the language so going to a 1 hour class per week doesn’t give the same kind of intensive knowledge transfer and it’s easy to forget what you learned before the next one – as well as only covering very small areas per lesson. In the intensive sessions we cover much larger areas and it really sinks in – and since I’m so busy during the week it’s rare that I get a lot of time to revise my Greek – and even if I only manage 1 intensive session in a month – I still retain far more than I did with weekly lessons. Once you attend an intensive session it’s really hard to go back to learning any other way.”
